6.  ELISHA5 JOHNSON (ELISHA4, JEPTHA II3, JEPTHA I2, UNKNOWN1) was born December 08, 1764, and died March 11, 1837.  He married SARAH ??.  She was born January 1765, and died October 22, 1842 in Ohio.

Elisha II and his wife, Sarah continued to live in the Chesapeake Bay area until 1817 when they moved westward to Licking County, Ohio. Family tradition has it that they journeyed with all their possessions tied onto long poles attached to each side of the horses' collars and the other ends dragging on the ground. Only the very old and very young enjoyed the luxury of riding.

8.  WILLIAM B.6 JOHNSON (ELISHA5, ELISHA4, JEPTHA II3, JEPTHA I2, UNKNOWN1) was born June 24, 1804 in Worcester County, Maryland, and died January 29, 1886 in Sandoval, IL.  He married RACHEL MCCLELLAND December 24, 1826 in Licking Co., Ohio, daughter of ALEXANDER MCCLELLAND and CATHERINE COURSON.  She was born June 06, 1809 in Licking County, Ohio, and died 1887 in Marion County, Illinois.

Rachel had been born into the family Alexander and Catherine Coursen McClelland, who had left PA and pioneered to Licking County, OH in 1795. At least four of that family's members participated in the American Revolution. William, who had been reared a farmer, claimed the hand of Rachel and they were wed in 1825. The farm they cleared was described in Ohio land records in this manner: "East of the forked Elm, south to the first bend in the crick west to the rock cliff by Brown's acres and then back north to the start."

9.  JAMES7 JOHNSON (SEVEARN6, ELISHA5, ELISHA4, JEPTHA II3, JEPTHA I2, UNKNOWN1) was born July 24, 1823 in Licking Co., Ohio, and died March 17, 1894 in Marion County, Illinois.  He married (1) JOANNA DENNISON March 30, 1847 in Perry County, Ohio.  She was born February 08, 1825, and died August 17, 1856 in Marion County, Illinois.  He married (2) MARY F. RICHARDSON February 03, 1857.  She was born November 20, 1835, and died December 27, 1858.  He married (3) HARRIET WILSON March 15, 1859 in Marion County, Illinois, daughter of SAMUEL WILSON and ELIZABETH FOSTER.  She was born February 12, 1833 in Pike Co., Ohio, and died June 21, 1907 in Centralia Township, Marion County, Illinois.

James Johnson came to Illinois from Ohio in the year 1846 when he was 23 years of age.  He married three times leaving a total of twelve children that grew to adulthood.

After the death of his first wife, James married on February 3, 1857, to Mary F. Richardson.
Married March 15, 1859, to his third wife Harriet Wilson, of whom I am descended.

James was the Justice of the Peace certified according to the abstract owned by Herbert Phillips.  File No. 76969   No. 1374 N. S.

James burial: 1894, Zion Hill Baptist Cemetery, Marion Co., IL

Can not find anything on Joanna Demison.  Her name could have been different.
Evidently she was related to the McClelland family or James was living in the Sandoval vicinity at the time of her death because she is buried in the McClelland Cemetery near Sandoval.

Harriet Wilson was married once before to a man by the name of Jabez Depue. He left her after two years of marriage so she filed and was granted a divorce.  However there were two daughters born, but both died as infants. Harriet's burial: 1907, Zion Hill Baptist Cemetery, Marion Co., IL

Murder or Suicide??

The Johnson and Fyke families carried on a fued. It is reported that both William and Rosie were found tied to their bed and had been shot to death by one of the families.

Isaac M. Bundy, son W.K. and Elizabeth Bundy, was born in Marion County, Illinois, August 31, 1862 and departed this life December 28, 1923, age 61 years 3 months and 28 days. He was married to Sarah E. Johnson, March 2, 1890 and to this union was born four children who survive him. Della Pearl Burge of Decatur, Illinois, Minnie Bell, Orville J. and Gladys Harriet Bundy all of Centralia. His wife preceding him to the life beyond some six months ago.  Beside his children he leaves three grandchildren, Francis Leo and Nelson Floyd Burge, and Bettie Marie Bundy, four sisters, Sarah Robinson of the state of Washington, Josephine West of Odin, Illinois, Lizzie Lamont of Arkansas and Rachel Jones of California and a host of other relatives and friends. He united with the Baptist Church of Zion Hill, and was baptized by Rev. Keel on April 28, 1889 and lived a member of this church up to the time of his death.
He was very patient in his last afflicition, and never complained of his lot, but said he was ready to go, and made all arrangements for his funeral. He was a loving father, was devoted to his family and home, and while laboring for his loved ones on earth, was laying up treasures in heaven.

Isaac's burial: 1923, Zion Hill  Cause of Death: grieved himself to death over his wife's death.
